Suspected unexploded WWII bomb found near Tower Bridge
A suspected unexploded bomb from the Second World War has been discovered at a building site near Tower Bridge.
Police and fire crews are attending the incident in the area of Henley Drive and Grange Walk in Bermondsey around half a mile from Tower Bridge.

Police believe the unexploded bomb is thought to be five ft long and weighing 1000lbs.
Tower Bridge Road has been closed between the bridge and Bricklayers Arms and surrounding areas closed to traffic and a 400m police cordon put in place. Workers and residents have also been evacuated in the area.
London Fire Brigade were called to the incident at 9.40am.

The incident is causing tailbacks on Borough High Street beyond Great Dover Street from London Bridge and Old Kent Road is slow from Bricklayers Arms, Transport for London said.
