Swipe right if you think it’s property love: New app Knocker is being billed as Tinder for home-buyers

Looking for love of the property kind? This new app that is being billed as Tinder for home-buyers could be right up your street.

A pair of clever programmers from the Ignite100 accelerator in Newcastle are hoping to tap into our lust for browsing the latest properties to hit the market.

Like the dating app, on Knocker you swipe left to continue searching for the real thing or swipe right to see if you can hook up (though this time it's to arrange a viewing with an estate agent).

The app is tied up with Zoopla, allowing users to browse the database of available homes.

Knocker was launched earlier this month and is currently free for iOS users. There is no word yet on when it will be coming to Android.
