Heathrow and Gatwick are the UK’s worst airports for flight delays and cancellations
Anyone after stress-free break when they jet away this summer should avoid these airports and destinations.
Data compiled by airline passenger compensation website flightright.co.uk shows Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Luton, Edinburgh and Stansted had the most flight delays and cancellations to top destinations.
Meanwhile, popular summer holiday spots such as Portugal, France, Spain, Turkey, Egypt and Greece were the countries with the most in-bound flight delays and cancellations.
It also flagged a few cities to watch out for – including Nice, Istanbul, Porto and Lisbon in Portugal as well as Egypt's sprawling capital Cairo.
