The Co-op Group has today announced that it has purchased Collective Legal Solutions Group, in a bid to grow its legal services business.

Collective Legal Solutions, which has over 100 associates and support colleagues and was founded in 2007, has been acquired to strengthen Co-op’s already existing legal services offering. Co-op Legal Services was set up as an alternative business structure (ABS) in 2012.

“This acquisition is a perfect fit for the Co-op, supporting our purpose of championing a better way of doing business for you and your communities,” said Rod Bulmer, chief executive of consumer services at the Co-op.

“Our consumer services businesses – General Insurance, Funeralcare and Legal services – already serve millions of our members in communities across the UK and Collective Legal Solutions will further support that work.”
