Zoopla Property Group has gone shopping at Notonthehighstreet.com after poaching the online retailer's chief commercial & financial officer Andy Botha.

Botha will jump ship and take on the role of chief financial officer at Zoopla on 18 April, the online property portal said. He will take over from Stephen Morana, who announced his intention to step down last month.

Botha joined Notonthehighstreet.com in 2013 after five years at online gaming firm Betfair where he held senior commercial and financial roles. Before that he was UK finance director at lastminute.com.

Zoopla's chairman Mike Evans said Botha "brings with him a wealth of highly relevant experience in tech businesses and demonstrable success in leading financial teams and business units during periods of high-growth."

His appointment is the company's second senior executive hire after Paul Whitehead recently took up the role of group strategy director. Whitehead was most recently chief commercial officer at uSwitch and was previously head of corporate and business development at Channel 4 for six years.
