Football betting: Leicester to keep the champagne on ice in tricky Manchester United test

There's nothing unusual in the Premier League title being sealed at Old Trafford. But if Leicester do it on Sunday it will arguably be the most remarkable moment in top-flight history.

The Foxes take on Manchester United needing three points from their final three games to claim the trophy.

Famously, Claudio Ranieri’s men were 5,000/1 shots to be champions at the start of the season – they are now 1/20 with Betway.

However, Ranieri’s heroes-in-waiting are likely to have to keep the champagne on ice for a little longer.

United have hit form at an important time.

Anthony Martial’s last-gasp winner over Everton last week not only sealed an FA Cup final place, it also ensured a fourth win in a row in all competitions for the Red Devils.

After months of dull, unexciting football, Martial’s link-up with Marcus Rashford has been a revelation.

United fans finally have an attractive team to watch and the returning Wayne Rooney, now playing in a deeper role, will only make them stronger.

When these two met in November, Jamie Vardy scored for his 11th successive league game, breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record.

But Vardy, who has since doubled his Premier League tally, is absent after his ban for improper conduct was extended.

While stand-in Leonardo Ulloa led the line well with two goals against Swansea last time out, a motivated United side will be a different proposition.

Without the pace and energy of Vardy, the Foxes may struggle to execute the counter-attacking football that has sent them to the brink of the title.

Take Betway’s 5/2 for the draw that would keep Tottenham in the hunt at least until Monday.

Since the turn of the year, both sides have made defensive solidity their priority.

Kasper Schmeichel (15) and David de Gea (14) sit joint-first and joint-third respectively on the Premier League clean sheets table.

Both sides rarely concede more than once. Spread bettors can sell total goals at 2.4 with Sporting Index, which I will be doing.
