There is now a “Come What May” beer to celebrate Theresa May’s first PMQs
In the summer that brought us Brexit beers and referendum beermats, it's no surprise that ale is still political and there is now a Theresa May-themed beer to cheers with ahead of her first Prime Minister's Questions today.
"Come What May", a new brew inspired by the prime minister, will be available in two pubs in May's Maidenhead constituency in Berkshire.
The Crown and Old Swan Uppers in Cookham, owned by Heineken's Star Pubs & Bars business, have organised the commemorative beers for May, who was confirmed as PM last Wednesday after a leadership battle with Andrea Leadsom, Michael Gove and a number of other leading Tories following David Cameron's post-referendum resignation.

Lawson Mounstevens, managing director of Star Pubs & Bars, said: "We know Theresa May will be very busy over the coming weeks, but hopefully she'll still have time for an occasional visit to support her local pubs.
"Our new brew is just for fun, but pubs are at the heart of the community, so we hope local residents will pay a visit and toast the new prime minister."
