British Airways warns of Heathrow flight disruption after IT chaos yesterday
British Airways has warned that passengers flying from Heathrow Airport may face disruption today after an IT outage yesterday led to a slew of cancelled and delayed flights.
An airline spokesperson said this morning: “An issue with a supplier IT system was resolved overnight.
“We are doing everything we can to keep any knock on disruption to our services to a minimum.
“We have apologised to our customers for the delay to their travel plans.”

Flights were delayed several hours and cancelled at terminal five yesterday due to an IT outage.
A fire alarm also led to the control tower being evacuated which caused further delays and cancellations.
Passengers on Twitter were complaining today about cancelled and delayed flights.
British Airways apologised to one passenger tweeting that there "has been some knock-on impact from yesterday's disruption at London Heathrow".
Others complained that after flights were cancelled yesterday they were unable to re-book for flights today as they were now full.
Flight cancelled and stranded at Heathrow last night with 2 kids. Then 2 hours standing in a taxi queue. All airport hotels fully booked. No BA staff could re-book flight to Glasgow for today and now they're all fully booked!! How do I get home???
