Mueller report into Trump campaign to be released ‘within a week’
US attorney general William Barr has said he will be in a position to release the Mueller report to the public within a week.

Last month Barr said the special counsel’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election showed that the president was not involved in a conspiracy with the Russians.
Speaking to the House Appropriations Committee this afternoon, Barr said the redaction process remains on schedule.
“I think that from my standpoint within a week I will be in a position to release the report to the public,” he said.
Barr’s four-page letter to Congress on 24 March, which detailed parts of the Mueller report’s findings, was hit by criticism from Democrats.
“Two-and-a-half weeks ago the Mueller report was completed. In extremely quick fashion, you turned a 300-plus page report into a four-page letter that supposedly summarised the findings,” committee chairman Jose Serrano said in his opening remarks.
US special counsel Robert Mueller's report has been held up by Republicans for finding no evidence of collusion between President Trump's election campaign and Russia.
But it was inconclusive on whether Trump had committed obstruction of justice.

“The special counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 US presidential election,” Barr wrote in his summary at the time.
“While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him,” Barr wrote.
The investigation led to the indictment of 34 individuals including Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and lawyer Michael Cohen.
