Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes to finalise first January transfer deal in next three days but dismisses Deeney link
Arsene Wenger is hoping to secure his first deal of the January transfer window this weekend as Arsenal close in on Egyptian Mohamed Elneny.
The athletic Basel midfielder is on the verge of making a £7m switch to North London which Wenger says could be completed in "two to three days".
"It's complicated a little bit but we work hard on it", said Wenger of the transfer which was lined up by the Gunners in advance of the January transfer window opening.

"I hope in the next two to three days we will get to the end of it," he continued.
Elneny will provide the Gunners boss with welcome relief to his team's lack of options in central midfield following injuries to Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin.
Basel confirmed earlier this week that the 23-year-old Egypt international was set to leave the Swiss club "in the coming days".
At a press conference ahead of Arsenal's Saturday third round FA Cup clash against Sunderland, Wenger also moved to dismiss rumours that he was interested in signing the Watford striker, confirming that the story was "rubbish" when asked.
