Ashley Madison chief exec Noel Biderman steps down after the hack
The chief executive of extramarital affair site Ashley Madison's parent company stepped down today, after a hack left 37m customers exposed.
"This change is in the best interest of the company and allows us to continue to provide support to our members and dedicated employees. We are steadfast in our commitment to our customer base," according to a statement on the Ashley Madison website.
"We are actively adjusting to the attack on our business and members’ privacy by criminals. We will continue to provide access to our unique platforms for our worldwide members."

"We are actively cooperating with international law enforcement in an effort to bring those responsible for the theft of proprietary member and business information to justice."
Hackers initially posted user data from the saucy website to the "dark web" earlier this month, and it's since been leaked to several other websites. Names, e-mail addresses, credit card details were among the information that was released.
