Aston Martin returns to F1 and will work with Red Bull on hypercar project AM-RB 001
Aston Martin will return to Formula 1 for the first time in over half a century, after announcing a partnership with Red Bull racing.
The luxury sports car manufacturer will work with Red Bull on a hypercar project currently codenamed "Project AM-RB 001".
And as part of the deal, the Aston Martin name will appear on the sidepods and nose of the Red Bull cars in this year's Formula 1 championship – the brands first presence in the sport since 1960.

Red Bull Racing chief technical Adrian Newey and Aston Martin chief creative office Marek Reichman will collaborate on a hypercar which will blend F1 technology with sports car design.
"Formula 1 offers the ultimate global stage to build wider awareness of the Aston Martin brand", said company chief executive Andy Palmer.
"However, this partnership will deliver even more than that when the hypercar that Aston Martin and Adrian Newey are in the process of developing hits the road.
"These are exciting times for Aston Martin and arriving hot on the heels of our DB11 launch earlier this month, this new partnership underlines that our brand really is racing again."
