UBS has managed to win the battle of the banks and remain at the top of the table of FTSE 100 financial advisors for another year, with 14 clients in the UK's blue-chip index, according to Adviser Rankings' data.

JP Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BoAML) were just behind with 13 and 11 companies respectively.

UBS is also the biggest FTSE 100 financial advisor by market capitalisation, with its clients, including Vodafone, Unilever, and BP, worth £368bn.

BoAML takes second place, with a client market cap of £194bn, thanks to Burberry, Persimmon and WPP among others, and Goldman Sachs is in third place.

JP Morgan remains top stockbroker, with the most FTSE 100 clients, 34, and the most across the entire stock market, 204.

BoAML remains in second place, with 28 FTSE 100 brokerage clients. UBS has the largest market capitalisation of broking clients. Morgan Stanley takes second place as JP Morgan Cazenove falls to third, from first place by FTSE 100 client market cap.

Barclays added most new FTSE 100 broking clients, Tui and Wolseley, and is fifth position with 18.
