Bjorn takes overnight lead
GOLF: Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn fired a superb eight-under-par 64 to take the overnight lead after the first round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Bjorn, seeking his first European Tour win since May 2006, fired six birdies and an eagle in a faultless round at Kingsbarns. England’s Ross McGowan and Gareth Maybin are a further two shots behind.
