BT ramps up Sky rivalry with launch of two TV bolt-on packs
BT has announced the launch of two new channel bolt-ons in addition to its core "Entertainment pack". At £3 a month each, the bolt-on offering HD Extra and Kids Extra are available to all cutstomers with BT Infinity who take the Entertainment pack.
A deal was agreed with Sky a fortnight ago – allowing BT to offer Sky movie channels – which seemed to bring the rivals closer together
That core Entertainment pack costs £7 a month, and includes 18 pay TV channels including Discovery, National Geographic, Comedy Central and Gold.
The newly launched HD Extra pack features high definition versions of many of those Entertainment channels, plus the three BT Sport channels in HD.
Kids Extra features nine channels, including Nickelodeon, Disney, Boomerang and Cartoon Network.
