Centrica acquires PH Jones
British Gas parent Centrica yesterday snapped up central heating provider PH Jones for £30m in cash. Centrica said the deal represented a step forward in its expansion into social housing services, and follows on from a partnership with housing repair firm Mears last year. Cheshire-based PH Jones, which was family-owned, has 42 contracts to service 250,000 properties.
