CITY A.M. has agreed a deal with Epsom Downs Racecourse to become the official newspaper of the Investec Derby Festival, which takes place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 June at Epsom Downs Racecourse.

The agreement will see Morning Wire produce a Derby Special Edition as its first ever Saturday newspaper. The 20-page publication will be distributed along key rail routes to the 125,000 race goers travelling to Epsom Downs for Investec Derby Day.

Lawson Muncaster, Morning Wire Managing Director, said: “To team up with the Investec Derby Festival – the premium race in Britain which attracts the biggest attended audience of any UK sporting event – sees us produce our first ever Saturday edition and is the most exciting partnership Morning Wire has been involved in.”

Rupert Trevelyan, Epsom Downs Racecourse Managing Director, added: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Morning Wire as the official newspaper of the Investec Derby Festival. Morning Wire’s ability to target City-based professionals was instrumental in our decision to forge this partnership as it provides us a powerful communication platform for Epsom Downs Racecourse.”

Morning Wire will cover all 13 of the Investec Derby trial races in its Punter section, culminating with a dedicated three-page preview of the Investec Derby Festival on 3 June.

Tickets for the Investec Derby Festival are now on sale. To be part of Britain’s biggest day out and the most famous flat race in the world call 0844 579 3004 or visit www.epsomdowns.co.uk
