City Moves for 07 December 2015 | Who’s switching jobs

IG GROUP

The online trading firm has named Peter Hetherington (pictured) as chief executive. He took on the role of interim chief exec in October, and has been a member of the IG board since 2002.

JP MORGAN

JP Morgan Asset Management Global Insurance Solutions (GIS) has appointed James Peagam as head of GIS. He is relocating from London to New York, and will be reporting to the co-heads of Global Investment Management Solutions, Jed Laskowitz and Mike O’Brien. Peagam previously led the GIS sales team and also led the European region of the GIS business.

BAKER & MCKENZIE

Jon McClay has joined the global law firm as its London director of marketing, communications and business development. He will join the firm early next year from Freshfields, where he currently holds the role of global co-head of marketing and business development. Before working at Freshfields, McClay worked for Barclaycard for 20 years. At Baker & McKenzie he replaces Julia Hayhoe, who has been appointed as the company’s global director of strategy implementation.

WESLEYAN

Taina Brisby has been appointed as a director of the financial services specialist for doctors, dentists, lawyers and teachers. She has worked in the financial services sector for over 25 years, and also holds several other non-executive board positions, for organisations such as the NHS South East Commissioning Support Unit. Brisby is also a member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Tribunal Panels and the management board of Circle Group.

OCTUPUS

Lotfi Ladjemi has joined the fund management company as strategic partnerships manager. He will be in charge of supporting the firm’s growth in the wealth management market. Ladjemi was previously at Draycott Capital,  a corporate finance and asset management boutique that he co-founded. Prior to that, Ladjemi worked at Amundi Asset Management, Citi Private Bank and Macquarie.

LENDINVEST

The property lending firm has appointed Steve Larkin to oversee the structure and strategy behind its first official development finance offering. Larkin joins the firm after a 26-year career with RBS, where he held a number of roles in real estate credit, restructuring and origination, and was most recently head of residential development in the restructuring team.
