City Moves for 16 November 2015 | Who’s switching jobs

COLLIERS INTERNATIONAL

The commercial real estate services firm has appointed business rates specialist Jeff Norris as director. He has over 30 years’ experience, and has held roles at Sinclair Goldsmith, Edwin Hill (now Altus), and Farebrother, where he was a partner heading up the rating department, before running his own consultancy.

OPEN OCEAN

The early stage venture firm has announced the appointment of Richard Muirhead as general partner to lead its London office. He founded and ran data centre automation company Tideway Systems, sold to BMC Software, and recently ran Automatic Software (owned by EQT Partners), the IT automation company.

TOWRY

The wealth management firm has announced the appointment of Peter O’Donnell as an investment director in its London office. He joins from Brewin Dolphin where he was an investment director for nine years. O’Donnell has 30 years’ experience in the private client industry, and has held roles at Hoare Govett and HSBC James Capel.

GAM

The active investment management firm has announced the appointment of Mark Willmott to lead its UK institutional business. He joins from Jupiter Asset Management, where he spent seven years as director of institutional business. Willmott has over 20 years’ asset management experience, and previously worked as head of institutional business development at Royal London Asset Management.

ALSBRIDGE UK

The outsourcing consultancy has announced the appointment of Elesh Khakar as a managing director in its UK office. He joins from Hewlett-Packard, where he was director of strategic business accounts, focusing on the energy sector and major accounts. Khakar has also held senior positions at Halifax Group Treasury and Wholesale Banking, where he was head of infrastructure, JP Morgan, where he was a vice president of technology, and ISG (formerly TPI).

INTERNATIONAL GENERAL INSURANCE

Chris Mauduit has been appointed head of professional indemnity in the insurance group’s London business. He joins from Catlin, where he has worked since 2003, setting up its professional indemnity and directors and officers business. Mauduit has 35 years’ experience and has also held roles at Sedgwick International Insurance Brokers, and the Underwriter Insurance Company.
