City Moves for 17 April 2019 – Who’s switching jobs at DX Group, Hogan Lovells and Highland Natural Resources?

Today's City Moves includes DX Group, Hogan Lovells and Highland Natural Resources.

DX Group

Four decades after founding DX Exchange as a reaction to the postal strikes of the 1970s, Pauline Lyle-Smith has returned to the business as brand ambassador. The move is one of a series of initiatives by DX as it invests in and drives forward its unrivalled offering in the marketplace. A successful businesswoman and lawyer, Pauline will be taking on an advisory role that will help to promote the development of DX Exchange, now part of DX’s Express Division. Pauline was admitted as a solicitor to The Law Society of England and Wales in Chancery Lane in 1981. She played a major role in challenging postal laws regarding the UK Post Office monopoly and helped to achieve a number of changes. She went on to found, and was editor of, the UK Chambers and Partners Guide to the Legal Profession, which assesses and ranks the leading law firms, barristers’ chambers, solicitors and barristers across the UK.

Hogan Lovells

Arwen Handley, most recently managing director and global head of group investigations governance, reporting and whistleblowing management at UBS, is joining Hogan Lovells as a partner on 7 May 2019. With over 16 years of responsibility for investigations and litigation at three major international banks, she will be part of Hogan Lovells’ market-leading financial services litigation practice and be based in London. Before joining UBS, Arwen served as associate general counsel and managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, leading the teams responsible for Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia litigation and regulatory inquiries. Before that, Arwen was a member of Morgan Stanley’s legal department, handling significant litigation and contentious regulatory matters in the EMEA region.

Highlands Natural Resources

Highlands, the London-listed natural resources firm, is pleased to announce that Nick Tulloch has been appointed to the board as finance director and company secretary. Nick is expected to join the Company in the second quarter of 2019. The date will be confirmed in due course. Nick is an experienced corporate finance adviser, having worked with companies listed on the London Stock Exchange for over 20 years. He is currently a managing director at Cantor Fitzgerald Europe’s corporate finance department and has previously held senior positions at several other investment banks and stockbrokers. Nick is based in the UK and, in addition to his duties as finance director and company secretary, will also support the development of the company’s investor relations strategy.
