Today’s City Moves cover comms, corporate broking and property. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

KL Communications

KL Communications, the financial PR and communication consultancy, has hired Charles Gorman to lead its listed company practice. Charles, who joins from Neustria Partners, specialises in advising listed investment and specialty financial companies on their strategic financial communications and investor relations activity. Charles has more than 20 years’ experience advising listed and unlisted businesses on their relationships across the stakeholder spectrum. He initially worked at UBS for eight years, where he ran investor, media and employee communications programmes in London and Zurich – culminating in responsibility for UBS’s UK institutional asset management, wealth management and global private equity media relations. In addition to advising listed companies on investor relations and corporate governance, he has advised a range of specialty finance businesses.

Barclays

Barclays has hired Laura Klaassen as director, corporate broking. Laura will be based in London, reporting to Kunal Gandhi, head of corporate broking. She was previously director UK ECM at Goldman Sachs where she spent 11 years working in New York and London, and most recently in the UK ECM and corporate broking team. Laura has a proven track record working with FTSE companies and brings great experience to the role. Laura brings great experience and an outstanding client-service record to the team. Her appointment continues the reinvestment across Barclays’ equities business seen throughout 2017 and into 2018, in which Barclays made over 50 equities hires across banking, sales, trading and research.

CBRE

CBRE has announced the appointment of Jonathan Moseley from EY to lead its strategic advisory consulting services for investor clients. Jonathan will report to head of strategic advisory, Amanda Clack, with responsibility for delivering strategic consultancy advice on major projects utilising CBRE’s wide-ranging advisory, consultancy and transactional expertise in all market sectors and geographies. Jonathan is an infrastructure sector specialist with 28 years’ experience. Advising private and public sector clients at senior and board level, he has advised on a range of complex multi-billion schemes and transactions of national significance including for the Airports Commission and the Thames Tideway Tunnel. Prior to EY, Jonathan was a senior director in the KPMG corporate finance infrastructure team. Last month, prop tech consultant Nick Wright joined CBRE’s strategic advisory team from KPMG.
