HSBC UK

HSBC UK has appointed Sharon Quinlan to the key role of head of corporate real estate. In her new role, Sharon will be focused on supporting HSBC UK’s real estate customers with their debt finance requirements and expanding the bank’s commercial property lending portfolio. Sharon will also take up a position on HSBC UK commercial bank’s executive committee. Sharon has over 25 years’ experience in real estate and commercial banking and joins HSBC UK from Barclays, where she was head of their London real estate business. HSBC UK’s corporate real estate team is based in London, with regional commercial teams in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol, employing over 133 people.

Experian

Experian, the global information services company, today announces the appointment of Mike Rogers, an independent non-executive director of the company, as chairman of Experian, effective from 24 July 2019.

Mike will succeed Don Robert who will step down as chairman and as a director. Mike joined the Experian board in July 2017 and has successfully chaired the remuneration committee since July 2018. He is currently a non-executive director of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, where he chairs the group sustainable banking committee and sits on the group performance and remuneration committee. He is the non-executive chairman of life insurance, pensions and asset management firm Aegon UK. Mike was the chief executive officer of LV, which grew significantly and was successfully rebranded and transformed under his tenure, from 2006 until 2016. Before that, he spent 20 years at Barclays, latterly leading its UK retail banking business.

Lane, Clark and Peacock (LCP) has appointed Aaron Punwani as its chief executive officer. He has overall responsibility for defining and delivering the firm’s strategy. Aaron has driven many of the firm’s client-focused innovations over the last decade and advises the trustees or corporate sponsors of some of the UK’s largest pension schemes. Meanwhile Tom Porter becomes strategy director with responsibility for broadening the firm’s offerings to clients and keeping LCP’s technology cutting edge across the business. Carla Lakey becomes head of people, responsible for the strategy to support, develop, attract and retain talented individuals.
