Sage
Sage, the market leader in cloud business management solutions, today announced the appointment of Amanda Cusdin as chief people officer. Following an interim period, this appointment recognises her contribution to creating a culture that will support Sage’s ongoing transition into a great Software as a Service (SaaS) business. Since joining Sage in 2015, Amanda has rolled out the company’s own people solution, Sage People, globally, as part of her drive to improve the colleague experience and increase visibility for colleagues and leaders. She has also successfully led the diversity and inclusion agenda for Sage, which culminated in the company being named the UK technology company of the year by the National Centre for Diversity as well as winning the global diversity award at the enei awards. Amanda brings over 15 years’ experience to the role following experience at Schneider Electric and Invensys.
Thrings
Top 100 law firm Thrings has strengthened its construction law offering to clients with the appointment of Michael Chilton as partner. An experienced construction law specialist and former quantity surveyor, Michael joins Thrings from EMW Law LLP, where he was a partner and head of construction. Prior to this, he held positions at Nabarro, Trowers & Hamlins and Linklaters. During his 20-year legal career, Michael has advised on a range of construction projects, including city office developments, mixed-use and retail schemes, infrastructure projects, housing schemes, student accommodation, out-of-town retail parks, railways, power projects and football stadia. His main area of expertise is in non-contentious construction law.
Newgate Communications
David Scane joined the rapidly expanding Newgate Communications in September 2018, where he sits within the Engage team as an associate partner. David has worked in communications for the past seven years, working alongside housebuilders, land promoters, and commercial developers. He has advised clients on a local, regional and national level, and regularly provides comment and opinion pieces in the industry press. David’s experience will bolster further a strong senior offering in Newgate’s London office as it continues to provide strategic counsel to developers across a range of sectors, including housebuilding, energy and infrastructure. David started his career working as a parliamentary assistant to a Labour shadow minister, where he developed and maintains links across all parties at local and national level.
