CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS

Davis Service Group
The textile maintenance business has appointed Peter Ventress, currently president of office furniture provider Staples, as its new chief executive.
Ventress, 48, was formerly chief executive of Corporate Express, before the company was acquired by Staples last year.
He will succeed current boss Roger Dye, who earlier this year announced his intention to retire at the end of 2009.
SAB Miller
The brewer has hired Howard Willard as a non-executive director, as part of a relationship agreement it agreed with tobacco group Altria.
Willard is currently executive vice president of strategy and business development for Altria. He has also previously worked at Bain & Company and Salomon Brothers.

Alvarez & Marsal
The professional services firm has appointed retail experts Mark McMenemy and Anthony Lucas to its European performance improvement practice.
McMenemy was previously group finance director at Clarks Shoes, Mothercare and Monsoon, while Lucas formerly worked as a consulting partner at Ernst & Young and PwC.
