CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS

GE Capital
James Fenner has been named as the new Head of capital markets for GE Capital in EMEA.  Based in London, he will be responsible for all strategic lease and loan syndication activities and will oversee securitisation and alternative funding strategies, in partnership with GE’s Treasury function, for GE Capital businesses in the region.  Fenner was previously head of leveraged loan capital markets with Merrill Lynch, a position he held since 2005.

Equiniti
Shareholder and employee services provider Equiniti has appointed Sir Neville Simms as its new chairman with immediate effect.

Simms is currently chairman of International Power, a post he has held since its demerger in 2000 from National Power. Until 2005 he was Chairman of Carillion, the construction and business services group created in 1999 by the demerger from Tarmac, where he was group chief executive.

He has significant experience in long-term contracting and the provision of services to sophisticated corporate and public sector buyers.

Land Securities
Land Securities has announced that Chris Bartram will join the Board as a non-executive director on 1 August.

Bartram has had a broad ranging career in the property industry.  He is currently  chairman of Orchard Street Investment Management, a UK commercial property investment management firm.  He is also a non-executive director of The Crown Estate which manages a £6bn portfolio.

His experience spans the key property disciplines having been managing director of Haslemere, chairman of Jones Lang Wootton Fund Management and concurrently managing partner, UK.
