Joining the firm’s technology practice in London, Atul Monga brings 13 years’ worth of experience from across Big Four firm Deloitte and Grant Thornton.

Monga, who spent a year’s secondment at the BBC, has advised a number of companies across the technology, media and telecoms space.

“Technology has been a key area of focus for the firm in recent years. Atul’s appointment, along with other strategic hires and promotions across the firm, will take our service offering in the tech sector to the next level,” managing partner Hans-Christoph Stadel said.

“His considerable expertise within the fintech arena will be an enormous benefit to the firm and its clients.”

Clifford Chance

Clifford Chance has hired a new private equity partner, who began his career at the firm, from rival law firm Mayer Brown.

Neil Evans, who is set to join London headquartered Clifford Chance in the new year, has advised on transactions for a string of clients including Blackstone, KKR and Bain Capital.

“Returning to Clifford Chance feels like coming home. Having had a great start to my career at the firm, I am excited to be able to bring the benefit of my experiences in the wider industry back to work alongside familiar faces,” Evans said.

Global head of private equity Jonny Myers added that Evans will play a “key role” in bolstering the firm’s private equity offering.
