Today's City Moves cover accountants, blockchain, asset management and pensions. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

Kingston Smith

Kingston Smith, the top 20 firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, has appointed Vida McShane as senior solicitor. Vida’s appointment will further strengthen the current legal service offering within the multi-disciplinary accountancy firm. She has more than a decade’s experience in acting for owner managed businesses. Vida specialises in corporate and commercial law, and has additional expertise in employment law. Vida advises a wide variety of clients, including individuals, SMEs, mid-caps and charities.

BTL Group

Jon Downing has joined the advisory board of the BTL Group, a blockchain technology company based in L39 Canary Wharf. He will advise BTL’s CEO and board of directors. Jon has more than 25 years’ experience delivering business and technology services to global financial firms and was previously at Visa Europe where he was a key member of its Innovation Hub, Visa Collab, where he setup and led the blockchain practice. Prior to Visa Europe Jon worked at Legal & General, American Express and JP Morgan designing and implementing new technologies.

Fulcrum Asset Management

Fulcrum Asset Management has appointed Charles Jewkes to the position of director, global financial institutions. In this newly created role, Charles will be responsible for building relationships with the major insurers and banks globally to drive assets across Fulcrum’s range of diversified, global multi-asset solutions. Charles joins the existing investor relations team and reports to Andrew Stevens, chief executive. With over 10 years’ business development experience, Charles joins Fulcrum from Schroders where he was most recently business development director involved with major insurance companies. He joined Schroders in January 2007 as a business development executive on the global financial institutions team. Charles has a BA (Hons) from the University of Durham and is a CFA charterholder.

Aon Hewitt

Global talent, retirement and health solutions business Aon has appointed Tiziana Perrella to its Risk Settlement group as a principal consultant. Tiziana has over 20 years’ experience in the pensions industry. She joins Aon Hewitt after eight years with JLT Employee Benefits where she was a principal and head of buyout services. Between 2008 and 2016 the group completed in excess of 170 bulk annuity transactions, worth around £3bn, and with 11 separate insurers. Before this, Tiziana spent 10 years with Mercer, having started her career with Prudential.
