Crossrail beneath the city starting to take shape
IT LOOKS like a scene out of a dystopian sci-fi movie but it is in fact the tunnel at the partially completed Crossrail Bond Street station. Crossrail is Europe’s biggest infrastructure project, with a total of 26 miles of tunnels being built under London by eight tunnelling machines. It is due to be completed by 2018.
