Delays to and from Victoria Station to continue until 11 after fire alarm

Delays to and from Victoria Station are expected to continue until late morning today after a fire alarm alert meant the station was evacuated.

Some trains were diverted to other London terminals during the alert. Southeastern tickets are being accepted on the London Underground at no extra cost.

After the fire service responded to an alarm at the station, it reopened just after 8.30 this morning.

But the disruption has caused many services to be delayed by about 20 minutes while others have been cancelled or revised.

Gatwick Express and Southern passengers may also be affected by the disruption.
