Djokovic wins rain-hit Dubai final
TENNIS: World No2 Novak Djokovic successfully defended a title for the first time in his career with victory at the Dubai Championship.
The Serb beat Russia’s Mikhail Youzhny 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 in a final that ran into a second day after rain halted play on Saturday.
“There are always people who are saying he can’t do it, he can’t do it,” said Djokovic. “But I’m playing for myself, and this is another success in my career.”
