Dream United tie is the lure for Kettering
NON-LEAGUE Kettering Town face the prospect of a dream tie against Manchester United in the FA Cup third round.
The Poppies were 12 minutes away from beating League One leaders Leeds United at Rockingham Road yesterday, only for Jermaine Beckford to cancel out Ian Roper’s earlier goal.
Elsewhere, 10-time winners Arsenal make the short trip to West Ham in, arguably, the tie of the round, while champions Chelsea host Watford.
Liverpool make the trip to Reading, while Manchester City face a tricky tie at Middlesbrough.
The ties take place on 2-3 January.
