EU referendum: Ukip’s Nigel Farage says Barack Obama is the most anti-British president ever
Barack Obama is the most anti-British president in history, according to Ukip's leader Nigel Farage.
Ahead of Obama's anticipated intervention in the EU referendum debate, Farage hit out at president.
"Mercifully, this American president, who is the most anti-British American president there has ever been, won’t be in office for much longer, and I hope will be replaced by somebody rather more sensible when it comes to trading relationships with this country," Farage said, according to the Press Association.
Next week is to visit the UK, where he will tell a town hall filled with younger voters that the US, as a "friend", thinks the UK should remain in the EU.
However, Ben Rhodes, the White House deputy national security adviser, told reporters that Obama "will make very clear that this is a matter the British people should decide when they head to the polls in June", the Guardian reported.

But Leave campaigners don't think that's enough. They suggest that Obama should not intervene at all, and leave the matter to the British people altogether.
MPs have previously written an open letter to the president to ask him to stay out of the debate, which has gone unheeded.
However, Remain campaigners say the Leave camp are acting hypocritically, pointing to the fact that Leave campaigners have previously praised foreign politicians for their views on Europe.
