Trading on Euronext's derivatives markets was back up and running after it suspended derivatives markets and futures indices following problems with market data.

Twitter users reported trading was functioning normally, after the European exchanges operator was forced to restart its entire UTP Derivatives platform.

At 10:08am central European time (9:08am UK time), it said trading on derivatives would begin to resume, on Index Futures markets in Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and Lisbon, followed by index options markets, individual equity options markets in all four cities, and finally stock futures markets.

Earlier, it said orders which had previously been submitted, amended or cancelled today will not be taken into account.

"Also take into account that sequence numbering for CCG and XDP will start as in the beginning of the day."

However, it added that trading on cash instruments had taken place as normal.
