BANK of America Merrill Lynch today unveils exclusively in Morning Wire the new face of the entity created by the tie-up between the two banks. The logo marks the launch of an advertising campaign run by The Brand Union, part of media firm WPP, led by chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell. Chief marketing officer for Bank of America Anne Finucane said: “Combined, the brands are stronger than either on their own.” Bank of America, led by chief executive Kenneth Lewis, bought Merrill in a $50bn (£30bn) deal that closed at the beginning of the year. The bank now plans to expand into European investment banking, a push led by new president of EMEA, Jonathan Moulds
