Flights into London City Airport hit by cancellations and delays

Flights in and out of London City Airport have been hit by cancellations and delays this morning, with the airport blaming adverse weather conditions for the disruption.

Due to adverse weather there may be some delays & cancellations this morning, passengers are advised to check with airline for flight status

However, airline CityJet said the airport had been closed due to a lighting issue on the runway. 

Please be advised that LCY has been closed due to a lighting issue on the runway. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Updates to follow.

The carrier said the airport is open again, but delays are exepcted.

The runway is now open at LCY however ATC restrictions are expected so delays may occur. Thanks for your patience.
