Commuting: Bow Road Tube is 15 minutes from Monument while Bow Church station is 10 minutes from Canary Wharf by DLR.

Schools: Guardian Angels Catholic Primary has a good record at Key Stage 2 as does Old Palace Primary School. At the Central Foundation Girls’ School, 77 per cent of students achieve A*-C at GCSE and 82 per cent got A*-C at A-Level.

Crime: Bow is less safe than the national average.
Restaurants & Pubs: The Morgan Arms gastropub, just off Tredegar Square, is now part of the Geronimo Inns group and comes highly recommended. The Eleanor Arms, which serves Shepherd Neame, is in the Good Beer Guide 2010 and hosts live music and quiz nights on a regular basis.

Parks & Leisure: Victoria Park, which holds an annual festival, is close by and you can stroll along the Regent’s Canal. In Mile End Park there is one of London’s few climbing walls.
