NEED TO KNOW | AREA INSIGHT

Commuting: Hampton is well served by stations with trains connecting to Waterloo. Trains from Hampton station itself take 45 minutes to reach Waterloo, while trains from Hampton Court and Hampton Wick stations take just 35 minutes, and leave every half hour during rush hour. You can also drive to Heathrow airport in under half an hour.

Schools: Like many affluent commuter areas, Hampton is well-served by strong independent schools. Hampton School is one of the best-known boys’ schools independents in South West London, while Lady Eleanor Holles School is viewed as one of the leading independent girls’ schools in the country.

Parks and Leisure: Hampton Court Palace, and its surrounding gardens and parkland – including the Bushy Park, one of the Royal Parks, is one of the most famous palaces in the country and also one of the most beautiful. It hosts numerous cultural events, including the Hampton Court Flower Show and a season of summer concerts, and children love finding their way through its famous 17th century maze.
