POP-UP SWEDISH CHALET AT THE WELL
The thought of a Swedish ski lodge sounds wonderfully apt at the (freezing) moment. Well, that’s exactly what you’ll find in the groovy downstairs bit of the acclaimed Well pub in Clerkenwell. It’s been transformed into a world of fake furs, reindeer, fir trees and gingerbread. Abba, Ace of Base and Roxette will be on the sound system while “Swedish winter hostesses” will be on hand to serve you ice cold glasses of vodka. Vintage skis, moose antlers, wooden logs and plenty of Aquavit complete the scene of Scandinavian merriment. 1-24 Decembe,. 180 St John Street. www.downthewell.com.

SKETCH AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY
For a second year, London’s quirkiest restaurant will be running a witty Parisian pop-up at the RA alongside the exhibition GSK Contemporary, about art, fashion and identity. Sketch’s chef Pierre Gagnaire will create a host of sandwiches, viennoiseries, cakes and pastries in a perfect melding of art, fashion and food. Yum yum. 2 Dec-30 Jan, www.royalacademy.org.uk/aware.

NEW TEA MENU AT THE DRUNKEN MONKEY
Shoreditch’s favourite dim sum eatery and cocktail bar is launching a warming afternoon tea menu, featuring 12 anti-oxidant varieties of tea, and organic cakes: think jasmine-infused cupcakes topped; lemon and ginger mini drizzle cakes with lemon zest and grated ginger and spiced star anise cupcakes made with sultanas, ground cinnamon and star anise, topped with vanilla cream. Menu from January. 22 Shoreditch High Street. www.thedrunkenmonkey.co.uk
