AMARANTO OPENS AT FOUR SEASONS
All the grandeur of the Four Seasons’ new London property comes together in its new top-of-the-line Italian restaurant. Think sea bass carpaccio with shaved raw artichoke salad, warm Amalfi citrus tart of white chocolate with and lime with passion fruit sorbet and great cocktails set in a glossy, high-ceilinged bar with a massive chandelier, baquettes and a “hand-moulded sculptural wall”. The chefs have top-drawer credentials, having worked at the superb Semplice and Locanda Locatelli. As a lounge, bar and restaurant in one, Amaranto promises none of the stuffiness associated with grand hotel restaurants. Four Seasons, Park Lane, W1J 7DR. Tel: 020 7319 5206.

COLLAGEN MENU AT GILGAMESH
This mega-restaurant is now offering a “beauty” menu in the form of collagen-infused food – think wheatgrass and seaweed. It’s farmore tempting than it sounds. www.gilga
