FTSE 100 Results Round-up – 27/02

Weir Group, the engineering company, has released full year results for the year ended December (results). They saw pre-tax profits rise from £396.3m to £443.1m. Chief executive Keith Cochrane has said that 2013 will bring more challenging markets.

 
ITV, the media company, has released full year results for the year ended December (results). The company has posted a before tax profit rise of 6 per cent to £348m. Chief executive Adam Crozier said:
 
 
Despite the significant growth of digital media, it still remains a relatively small part of total viewing at less than two percent and linear television viewing remains robust. It is therefore imperative that while we drive new revenue streams our Broadcast business remains strong.
 
Petrofac, the provider of integrated facilities services to the oil, gas and energy production and processing industries, has released full year results for the year ended December (reuslts). The firm's headline announcement was a net profit rise of 17 per cent to $632m. The group's chief executive Ayman Asfari said that the firm planned to expand into Mexico where the group has four new contracts.
