General Election 2015: The odds of a hung parliament just shortened – and it’s set to be Prime Minister Ed Miliband
Come May 7, the UK will have a hung parliament with Ed Miliband taking the keys to Number 10 – at least that's what bookies Ladbrokes are saying.
The odds of a hung parliament have shortened yet again, this time to 1/7.
Ladbrokes' Election Forecast has moved slightly in favour of the Conservatives, suggesting now that the Tories will win most seats – 278 to Labour's 274 – including the key marginal seat North Cornwall.
The bookie has the odds of a Conservative majority at 6/1 while a Labour majority stands at 14/1.
However the odds of the UK getting its first Prime Minister Miliband have dropped to 4/1, shortening from 10/1 just a month ago.
Meanwhile independent candidate and former Eurovision singer Ronnie Carroll has 1,000/1 odds of winning in the Hampstead & Kilburn constituency, despite having passed away earlier this week, owing to new rules which mean he will remain on the ballot.
