Heidfeld to begin Renault testing
FORMULA ONE: Former Sauber driver Nick Heidfeld, 33, will begin testing for Renault this week as the team step up their efforts to find a replacement for the injured Robert Kubica. The 26-year-old Pole is recovering in hospital after suffering multiple fractures during a rallying accident in Italy. Heidfeld was confirmed to drive alongside second driver Vitaly Petrov as well as Bruno Senna in Spain. Renault chairman Gerard Lopez said the British-based team want a driver with experience and the capability to challenge for the championship.
