RUGBY UNION: Sale and England fly-half Charlie Hodgson faces a race to be fit for the Six Nations after he was ruled out of action until the new year with a broken foot. The 30-year-old suffered the injury during the national side’s defeat at the hands of South Africa last month and could struggle to be ready in time to make the Elite Player Squad set to be announced in January.
