Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie gives her first lecture at the London School of Economics (LSE)
Angelina Jolie took up her new role as a London School of Economics (LSE) lecturer today, delivering a lecture at the university's Centre for Women, Peace and Security.
Jolie addressed students on the Women, Peace and Security postgraduate course, and admitted to feeling nervous ahead of her appearance.
"I’m a little nervous, feeling butterflies," the actress and activist told the Evening Standard. "I hope I do well. This is very important to me."

LSE unveiled Jolie's appointment as a visiting lecturer in May last year, at the same time announcing that former foreign secretary Lord William Hague would also teach students on the same course.
The Tory peer and former foreign secretary has worked with Jolie on the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative which launched in 2012. He delivered his first lecture last week.
Other visiting lecturers include Jane Connors, director of international advocacy at Amnesty International Geneva, and Madeleine Rees OBE, Secretary General of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.
Jolie, was named one of the 100 most powerful women in the world by Forbes in 2015, hit the headlines last September, when it was revealed that she was divorcing her actor husband Brad Pitt.
