Hyundai boosted by scrappage
Hyundai expects to boost its full-year US car sales, it said yesterday, reversing a decline in the first seven months. The carmaker has been helped out by the US government’s trade-in scrap scheme. The clunkers programme helped South Korea’s biggest carmaker boost July sales by 12 per cent, and now accounts for much as 40 per cent of sales.
