iPhone 6 pictures leaked: Apple’s new smartphone flaunts curves and a higher resolution screen
As the hype surrounding the iPhone 6 reaches fever pitch ahead of its supposed unveiling on 9 September, new images claim to show the complete design of Apple’s new device for the first time.
The leaked pictures reveal a return to the design of Apple’s original iPhone model, flaunting its curves as one website might say, with rounded edges if the images are to be believed.
The pictures were published by luxury Russian phone modification company Feld & Volk on its Instagram account, but as with all iPhone rumours, have not been verified.

The pictures also show Apple has managed to shave 0.6 millimetres from the phone. While it may not sound like much, the reduction from 7.6 millimetres to 7 millimeters would make an even thinner iPhone than the current 5s and 5c models.
Further details of the iPhone 6’s screen resolution have also been unearthed through some particularly geeky digging around by tech site 9to5mac.com.
Computer files used by software developers testing Apple’s iOS 8, the updated operating system for the iPhone also slated for an imminent release, reveal a higher resolution screen in addition to the larger physical screen sizes already rumoured.
Apple fans expect two iPhone 6 models, one with a 4.7 inch screen and another with a 5.5 inch display, both bigger than the iPhone 5’s 4 inch screen.
The images displayed on the larger screens are also likely to be sharper with a suspected 828 x 1472 pixel resolution, which could also result in room for more apps to be displayed on the homescreen.
Expectations are high for the iPhone 6 ahead of launch – now less than three weeks away- with rumours about the device becoming ever more frenzied and talk ranging from screens made of super strong sapphire to the type and placement of buttons.
