Jeroen Hoencamp installed as Vodafone UK chief

Vodafone UK has appointed Jeroen Hoencamp as CEO, successor to Guy Laurence. Hoencamp is currently Vodafone UK enterprise director.

Hoencamp became Vodafone UK Enterprise Director in January.  Prior to that he was Chief Executive of Vodafone Ireland for two and half years. Previously he held a number of marketing and sales roles in Vodafone Netherlands for 12 years. Hoencamp’s successor will be announced in due course.

Laurence gets a few dry lines of biographical content, but none of the usual boilerplate quotations from colleagues suggesting that he's been a real benefit to the company.

Two points don't make a trend, but Microsoft's Steve Ballmer got the same treatment when his exit was announced last month.
