Lewis Hamilton turned away from Wimbledon final for not wearing a jacket and tie
Lewis Hamilton was refused entry to Wimbledon's Royal Box today for breaching the dress code.

The reigning Formula 1 world champion was invited by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club to the men's singles final but failed to turn up with the necessary jacket and tie.
His spokesperson said: "Due to an unfortunate misunderstanding regarding dress code, Lewis is very disappointed to have missed the men's final".

Hamilton wore a floral shirt and Panama hat – a Centre Court classic – to the match but missed the obligatory jacket and tie. Earlier in the day he had posted a picture to his Instagram of his tickets with the caption: "On my way to Wimbledon to watch the final! Honoured to have been invited to watch the men's finals from the Royal Box!"
An All England Club spokesperson said: "If he came without a jacket, tie or shoes he would have had two choices – not staying or going to get some extra stuff."
As a result, the British Grand Prix winner was unable to join the likes of Bradley Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Winslet, Thierry Henry, Sacha Baron Cohen and Hugh Grant on Centre Court to see Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in four sets.
