Liberty Global remains committed to Virgin broadband investment post-Brexit
Virgin Media owner Liberty Global remains committed to investing in the UK following the vote for Brexit and will begin the next stage of a multi-billion pound investment in the UK's broadband infrastructure network.
Nearly half a million new premises in London will get superfast broadband by 2018, creating 500 new jobs by the end of this year.
That will include 40,000 homes and businesses in Barnet, 6,000 in Westminster and further expansion in Greenford, Southall, Fulham, Twickenham, St John’s Wood, Bexley and Croydon.

"Our consumers want fast, reliable, high-quality telecommunications whether Britain is inside or outside the European Union," said Liberty Global chief executive Mike Fries, writing exclusively for Morning Wire.
"This country will not cease to embrace digital technology because of a changing relationship with Brussels, which may take years to negotiate."
The scheme – known as Project Lightning – aims to bring superfast internet connections to an additional four million homes by 2020 and create more than 6,000 jobs.
