Lions make a winning start
CRICKET: England Lions began their tour of the United Arab Emirates with a comfortable 52-run victory over an UAE ‘A’ team in a Twenty20 match in Sharjah.
Hampshire’s Michael Lumb top-scored with 42 off 32 balls in a Lions total of 184-5, while Ian Bell hit an unbeaten 37.
Spinner James Tredwell finished with 3-22 as UAE were restricted to 132-7 in reply.
